The small town of Palangkaraya in Central Kalimantan has a lot to do and see in Palangkaraya, and it is definitely one of the friendliest cities in all of Indonesia. The city is a cultural melting pot, including the majority of indigenous Dayaks.

Palangkaraya is also the main base for seeing orangutans in Indonesia which can be found on the pre-release island. Orangutans which are not too far from the city itself and you will almost certainly see some of these primates on one of the two islands where they are preparing to return into the wild. Also, not far from the gate of Sebangau National Park which is bigger than Bali Island. This is a beautiful ecological reserve and, you can explore by boat and sail to the black water lake.

The highlight of visiting Palangkaraya is the opportunity to meet and learn from its native Dayak people, where you will be greeted like family with their warm hospitality. An amazing Kalimantan adventure awaits you, we invite you to visit Palangkaraya for 3 days 2 nights.
