Bukit Raya Mountain is in Bukit Raya – Bukit Baka National Park is located in The Highland in the Border of West Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan in Upstream Katingan Regency, Schwenner Mountain in the Depths of the “Heart of Borneo ” is The Highest Mountain Peak in Borneo, with a height of 2,278 above sea level and is one of the member The Seven Highest Peaks in Indonesia ( member of The Seven Summit of Indonesia ) The Exotic Jurney is a Tracking, Followed Virgin Forest and Fresh Wate. This region is very rarely through by people.

The Bukit Baka-Bukit Raya forest area is a representative type of mountainous tropical rainforest ecosystem that dominates the peaks of the Schwaner Mountains. Bukit Baka-Bukit Raya is a combination of the Bukit Baka Nature Reserve in West Kalimantan and the Bukit Raya Nature Reserve in Central Kalimantan.

There were 817 plant species included in 139 families including Dipterocarpaceae, Myrtaceae, Sapotaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Lauraceae, and Ericadeae. There are also medicinal plants, forest orchids, Rafflesia flowers (Raflesia sp.) Which are the largest parasitic plants and also grow on Mount Kinibalu, Malaysia. Endemic plants include the Symplocos rayae, Gluta sabahan, Dillenia beccariana, Lithocarpus coopertus, Selaginnella magnifica, and Tetracera, glaberrima.

Among them are honey bears, kesadu, wisel ferrets, orangutans (Pongo pygmaeus), gray langur (Presbytis cristata), black langur (Presbytis melalophos), flatfoot / red langur (Presbytis rubicunda), white forehead langurs (Presbytis frontata), gibbons ungko (Hylobates albibarbis), and kelempiau (Hylobates muelleri).

Itinerary

Day One

Early in the morning started from Palangka Raya drive to Tumbang Habangoi Village, the last Village in Upstream Samba River, Katingan Regency ( 6 hours ), must first take care of Permit Sign Bukit Raya-Bukit Baka National Park Office in Kasongan ( one week before ), joint Traditional Ritual in the Night, Overnight in Habangaoi Village.

Day two

After breakfast, start to go to Bukit Raya Mountain use Motorized Canoe following Upstream Samba River to Kukub Kuwi ( around 8 Hour), Overnight in Kukub Kuwi.

Day three

After Breakfast continues to Dahiyei followed Upstream Samba River Use Motorized Canoe ( around 5 hours) Overnight in Dahiyei.

Day four

After Breakfast continue Tracking to Tosah ( around 5 hours) tracking ( the Jungle of Upstream Samba River )

Day five

n The Morning continue Tracking to Bitah Samba ( around 5 hour ) tracking, Overnight in Bitah Samba.

Day six

In The Morning continue Tracking to Peak of Bukit Raya Mountain tracking ( around 5 hours) after around 2 hours in the peak of Bukit Raya back again to Bitah Samba ( 5 hours ), Overnight in Bitah Samba

Day seven

From Bitah Samba Tracking back to Dahiyei ( around 8 hours), Overnight in Dahiyei.

Day eight

From Dahiyei back to Kukub Kuwi and Habangoi use Motorized Canoe ( around 8 hours), Overnight in Habangoi Village.

Day nine

Back To Palangka Raya by Car

Note: 1. The trip can be shortened depending situation and Physical strength Tracker Team, not

recommended to stay overnight in Peak Bukit Raya ( 0 Celcius level in the night). 2. Wild Tracking to Bukit Raya has 2 Route, Mangkuraja and Kait Bulan The Tracker can

Go and Back followed different Tracking in the day 6, after pass peak of Bukit Raya followed Kait Bulan go down to Tosah and continue to Dahiyei.

Is the Tour Dangerous?

Depending on which trip you book. Bukit Raya/Bukit Baka and Setulang village is quite hardcore. Sebangau Tour is medium.  Boat Trip in palangkaraya and Tanjung Puting is Easy. Other tours are easy and medium.

When should I book my tour?
